Biografía ingles.
Luis Pinilla (28 June, 1980) is a Columbian born artist who currently lives and creates in Madrid, Spain. He is known artistically as Ricky Maria Henao.
His creative process began with the realization that our society and its imposed model of living according to the rules of consumerism were not sustainable.
He immigrated to Spain with the intention to challenge and explore why we accept to live within this model. He wished to forge tentative explanations through investigation of the pillars of European culture (with a particular focus in contemporary art, cinema, theatre, dance and literature).
In Madrid, he began to visualize and design a means of communicating with the power to inform, synthesize and move to action, through conceptual, performance and vanguard art.
Ricky was an integral creative force in the formation of the artistic collective Transfiguart in 2002, together with a group of multi-disciplinary artists. Transfiguart organizes happenings and performances, runs workshops and works in collaboration with other artists and cultural associations whom share and enrich its social, political and artistic visions.
Ricky has traveled throughout Europe, in Milan, Venice, Berlin, Kassel and Paris as well as to Israel (including Jerusalem) and The Dead Sea to bring his creative energies to different parts of the world, with the intentions to shed light on the social or political atmospheres, and to develop relationships with other working artists.
Thereafter, Ricky began define his understanding as to what it means to be an artist compromised within our society; a place of minorities, guided by a vague capitalism, a reminiscent imperialism and unresponsive laws. He asks who or what is guilty? And concludes that it is not a question of guilt; rather it is the enigma of humanity. Ricky believes that the solution lies in the individual and communal decision to work together to construct a sustainable society in order to achieve the permanence of our culture.
Ricky studied curatorship (Titulo de Comisariado y gestion expositiva) in Circulo de Bellas Artes, Madrid and acting en La Fundación Shakespeare. He is a professional dancer, in both afro-Caribbean dance and Bhutto. He has skills in the use of Software Libre (Free Software), new technologies and permiculture. He is currently undertaking a course in cinematic language and collaborating in the direction of several short films.

Ricky has developed a number of actions in public areas and specific performance spaces, compromising himself socially in order to transcend interior barriers, working as a creator, never as a product, a liberated body, des-nudado.

El Hombre Postmodern (2007) – La Octave Edition de la Feria de Arte Independent, Madrid – using up the world, in our acts of senseless consumption and absurd conventionalisms.
A Magritte (2007) – Galeria Nietzsche, Madrid – with Narea Nara – an unconsciousness love found in desire: capitalism’s blinding robes.
Repression (2007) – Plaza de Tirso de Molina, Madrid – Colectivo Transfigurart – support to our oppressed artistic companions stripped of their rights and freedoms in Rostock, Germany.
Zapatos Para Todos (2008) – ARCO, Madrid – Colectivo Transfigurart – unofficial artistic intervention in the installation of Jaume Plensa – we are all immigrants, looking for a pair of shoes which fit.
Tiferet (2008) – La Casa Encendida, Madrid – Colectivo Transfigurart – it’s the same wheel which alienates us.
Living La Crisis (2008) – Teatro Casa de Vacas, Madrid – Colectivo Transfirguart Performikos – the humanization of the actor within the performance space.
Kalafnekof – (2009) – TV Espanola – Colectivo Transfigurart – making wars without arms, using television without speaking its language; blood, bodies, water, earth, fire.
Zonas de Riesgo (2009) – Montería, Columbia – curatorship of works of local artists in a street exhibition.
Vale Copa Transfiguart (2009) – Centro Dramatico Nacional – Colectivo Transfigurart – Limpiando el Gran Vidrio (2009) – Museo Pompidou, Paris – the fetishistic curator takes off art’s clothing, exposing it in the great glass museum.
Ricky is also affiliated with Teatro Magico and el Colectivo Ecologico del Patio Maravillas.

Performance
No busco trasgredir ni desbordar los limites del cuerpo, ni de la obra, ni del soporte, ni del arte.
solo expresar mi punto de vista a traves del colectivo, de la sociedad, de mi estilo de vida.

No me gusta el dialogo entre la obra artistica y el publico lo más interesante,es el dialogo entre el artista y su realidad social, cultural y personal. pues soy un canal de ideas.
